Dwight "Butch" Mueller, age 75, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 in La Grange, California. Butch was born in North Dakota on November 25, 1946 to Arnold and Grace Mueller. He lived in North Dakota until he was 8 years old. At 8, he and his family moved to Turlock, California. Butch graduated from Turlock High School. He went on to attend UCLA before graduating from Stanislaus State. On November 3, 1990 Butch married the love of his life, Paula Mueller.
Butch served in the Vietnam War in 1967 & 1968. He worked as a police officer from 1969 to 1976. Finally, he worked as a private investigator starting in 1976 and retired from that position in 1993.
Butch loved hunting, fishing, shooting, and carpentry. He was a part of Turlock Untouchables Car Club, Lake Don Pedro Baptist Church, police organizations, NRA, and VFW.
He is predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Grace Mueller.
Butch is survived by his loving wife, Paula Mueller; his daughters, Casey (Jose) Jimenez, Gwen (Keith) Davis; his grandson, Greyson Davis; and his sisters, Patricia (Ed) Vieira, Cindy (Dale) Reeser, and Jennifer Hayes; and his many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that donations be made in Dwight's honor to Lake Don Pedro Baptist Church, 4175 Abeto St., La Grange.
A funeral service is being held on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, in the Main Chapel. Following the service, Dwight will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
