Palmer/West Brookfield – Dylan Thomas Allen, 31, died at his home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, after a short illness.
He leaves his parents, Todd and Tina Allen, his sisters, Marnique and her husband Tim, Tia and her husband Chris Coderre, and his maternal grandparents George and Margaret Pataky. He was predeceased by his beloved Grammy, Marion Allen. Dylan will be greatly missed by his three nephews, Jackson his mini-me, Rhett, and Callan. He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Sue and George Pataky, Linda and Jimmy Laney, and Sue Lyons. He will be missed by his cousins Liam, Samantha and her husband Daniel, Erica and her husband Nick, and James and his girlfriend Sanna. Dylan will also be missed by his many friends, especially by Wyatt Alm and his wonderful wife Alicia, and RJ Paquette with whom he shared so many great times and wild adventures. The stories are endless.
He attended Quaboag Regional High School and served in the United States Army Reserves. He was employed by National Grid, followed by Feeny Brothers Utility Services.
Dylan was an avid golfer who played courses in many different states and countries. He could hit the ball a mile but rarely found the fairway, the driver rarely came out of the bag. He was a sports fan from a young age, including outlasting his father to stay up late into the night watching every minute of the Red Sox's Reverse the Curse playoff season.
Dylan often acted like he didn't have a care in the world, but he was a gentle soul with a loving heart. He had a dramatic flair and told a great story. We will miss his sparkling eyes, his raucous infectious laugh, and his rib breaking hugs. It is heartbreaking to know we will never again see his beautiful smile. He was beyond loved and will be missed by us every day for the rest of our lives.
In lieu of services, a Celebration of Life for Dyan will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 1PM in the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club, 24 Hamilton Road in Sturbridge.
