Dylan T. Herlihy, age 15, of Danvers, MA, left the world too soon on Monday, September 5, 2022. He was the beloved son of Talena Davis and her fiancé Joseph Giambrone of Danvers, and his father, Timothy Herlihy of Danvers.
Born in Melrose, MA on February 22, 2007, Dylan was a lifelong Danvers resident who was looking forward to the start of his sophomore year at Danvers High School.
Dylan was an exuberant soul bursting with energy and intense curiosity. An inquisitive child, he was always seeking answers. He had an engaging personality and sharp sense of humor often playing the class clown. He was a true gentleman who would meet your gaze with a warm smile and a firm handshake; a well-mannered and grateful young man who always remembered to say "please" and "thank you". Dylan loved all outdoor sports and enjoyed time on the field playing youth lacrosse, football, and little league. Some of his best times were spent on the ski slopes skiing and snowboarding with his mom. With this sense of adventure, he would spend hours mastering exciting and impressive stunts on his bike. His sense of style was unmatched by his contemporaries, he made sure to present himself in a way that reflected this. He was an artistic talent who had a budding interest in fashion design, industry, and sales.
Full of compassion he was known to root for the underdog. He would always stick up for his friends without hesitation and offered kind words to anyone who needed them.
Dylan loved to travel, enjoying trips throughout all of New England and Puerto Rico. His favorite travels though were to New Mexico to visit family and bake cookies with his Grandma.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Theresa McCarthy of Albuquerque, NM, Kelly Davis and his wife, Laura of Albuquerque, NM, and James Michael Herlihy of Danvers, MA; his great-grandmother, Ellen Carroll; his uncles, Tarl McCarthy, Kalvin Davis and wife Tracy, and Konnor Davis; his aunt, Shelley Herlihy; and Great Aunt and Uncle Joan and Larry Comeau; as well as a large extended family including numerous cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his uncle Jamie M. Herlihy.
His visiting hours will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 4-7 PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square, MA. Family and friends are cordially invited and encouraged to attend. Dylan's funeral will be held privately.
