Roger Henry LeBlanc, a lifelong resident of Salem, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at Kaplan House in Danvers after a brief illness. He was 94.

Born in Salem on June 30, 1931, to J. Wilfrid and Laura LeBlanc, Roger grew up in a family deeply rooted in the city's maritime traditions. He graduated from Salem High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserve as a Quartermaster Second Class until 1959.

In 1955, during his military service, Roger married his high school sweetheart, Lois Levesque. Together they built a loving family and shared 70 years of marriage.

After his service, Roger began working at Fred Lavoie's boat yard before becoming Yardmaster at Palmer's Cove Yacht Club-a role he held with dedication for 70 years, from 1946 to 2016. The club became his second home. He was also known for his skills as a machinist at the United Shoe Machinery Corporation in Beverly.

Roger was most at home on the water, often seen captaining his beloved 1926 38' Matthews cruiser, Althea II, along the North Shore. His passions included boating, reading, cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots, and, above all, spending time with his family.

Roger was the longest-standing member of Palmer's Cove Yacht Club, where his legacy and spirit will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife Lois (née Levesque); their children Michael LeBlanc (Jeanne), William LeBlanc (Susan), Joni Dahm (David), and Douglas LeBlanc (Betsy); and his sister Lucille Pooler. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Joan Levesque, Theresa LeBlanc, and Peggy LeBlanc; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday prior to the Mass from 9-10:45AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roger's memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701 or online at https://www.cancer.org.
