Mr. Earl Thomas Cox, age 88, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on April 29, 2025. Earl was born in Lebanon/ Bradfordsville, Kentucky, on November 28, 1936, to the late Gilbert and Mary Catherine "Mattingly" Cox. Earl loved spending time with his family and friends. His biggest joy was buying and reconditioning antique cars. Most of his time and family vacations were filled with attending car shows and scouting out his next project. He loved spending his free time collecting and selling many things. Some of those include cars, knifes, guns and jewelry. Mr. Cox retired from public works for the city of Louisville after many years. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Among those who preceded him in death are his children, Mary Goetzinger (Luke) and Earl Cox Jr.; parents; and siblings, Mary Ann Fisher and Hubert Cox. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Frances Cox; children, Tom Cox (Lisa), Donna Osborne (Rick) and Earlene Kays (Troy); Joe Cox and Bert Cox; grandchildren, Carol, Earl, TJ, Brandy, Jennifer, Brittany, Janice, Brianne, Ricky, Kylie and TK; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends. Prayer service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 east at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.
