Earl Scotty Johnson

Earl "Scotty" Johnson, 64, of Tiptonville, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Med in Memphis. Born January 8, 1961, he was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty Jo Eddlemon Johnson. Scotty was a farmer and owner of Side Street Grill food truck. He was the best Papa to his girls and was always one of the first people who volunteered for a benefit for those in need. He was also known as the Candy Man for his famous brittle and holiday candy. Those who knew and loved him will surely miss his daily early morning "Good Morning" coffee posts on Facebook. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Carl Southerland with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 27th beginning at 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home. He is survived by his son, Earl Scott Johnson, Jr; three granddaughters, Rhianna Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Meagan Johnson; two sisters, Jill Nester, Ginger Campbell; and his brother, Clyde Johnson. Deewayne Campbell, Billy Burkeen, Steve Fowler, Robert Coats, Matt Cook, Andrew Swift, Scott Nichols, Greg Paschall and Billy Farmer will serve as pallbearers.
