Earl Marson Mincy, 88, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Greens, Gastonia.
He was born May 26, 1936, in Macon Co, NC, son of the late Lester Mincy and Kate Jones Mincy.
Earl was a member of West 5th Ave Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith McMillan Mincy; son, Edward E. Mincy; step-daughter, Diane Gardner; and step-granddaughter, Kimberly King; brother-in-law, Ronald Talley.
Earl is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Gottwald (Wayne), and Brenda Pikul (Jim); step-son, Ricky Drum (Denise); step-daughters, Joann Penner (Gene); brothers, Carl Mincey (Lottie), and Loyd Mincey (Pat); sister, Hilda Talley; grandchildren, Kimberly DeChane (Peter), John Gottowald, Krystal Delaney (James), Alan Mincy, Isaac Mincy, Katie Pikul (Kel), Joseph Pikul (Rebecca), and Dennis Pikul; step-grandchildren, Kayla Penner, Brandie Penner, Chelsea Randall (Charlie), Deeanna Wilson (John), Kristen White, Danielle Gardner, and Jr "Ricky" Drum (Kelly); 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Donna Mincy; long time friend, James Sheilds; and many friends and family.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Justin Grigg, will be held 1pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at West 5th Avenue Baptist Church - 2145 W 5th Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, the youth at West 5th Avenue Baptist Church - 2145 W 5th Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052.
