Earl A. Reeger, age 93, of Meadville went to be with his Lord on Saturday morning April 19, 2025, in Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
He was born in Jamestown, NY on January 9, 1932, a son of Bennett F. and Mildred Louise (Hornstrom) Reeger.
On September 28, 1956, Earl married the former Shirley Barris, she survives.
He was employed as a tool maker at Channellock for 42 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church, and a former treasurer of the Steel Workers Union local # 1905, and a former treasurer of Champion Employees Federal Credit Union.
Earl enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a volunteer for the VA for 13 years.
In addition to his wife of 68 years he is survived by a sister, Betty J. Hart and her husband Donald of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy Granetto, four brothers Howard E. Reeger, Clifford A. Reeger, Bennett F. Reeger, Jr. and Paul Reeger.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday 4-26-25 at 1:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with Pastor J. Brian Hasenkopf, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday 4-26-25 from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be private in Greendale Cemetery.
