John Forest Reeger, 68, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident. He was born on May 30, 1956, in Indiana to the late John Howard and Alta Rae (Albright) Reeger.
John graduated from United High School in Armagh and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army. He worked for Fisher Scientific as a CNC operator until its closure and then for Sony building TVs, Keystone Rehabilitation Systems remodeling offices, and Watts Truck Center as a diesel mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, remodeling and fixing things, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He was a member of Saltsburg Presbyterian Church.
John was survived by his wife Loretta whom he married on November 8, 2003, for 11 days following their accident, siblings Brenda Kenley of Marienville, Mary Lou (Daniel) Sinclair, of Indiana, Coleen (Frank) Gratosky of Homer City, Darleen (William) Stephens, of Brush Valley, Sharleen (Raymond) Schmaus of Indiana, and Sheila (Adam) Kenley, of Indiana, three stepchildren Brian Linn, Richard Linn, and Brandy (Donald) Stehley, four step grandchildren Tristan Stehley, Chase Stehley, Andrew Linn and William Linn II, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received by the family on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, and again on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon with his pastor Dan Satler officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saltsburg Presbyterian Church, 517 Salt Street, Saltsburg, PA 15681.
