Ralph E. Clapper, 68, of Danielson, died April 24, 2025, in Day Kimball Hospital. Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John Clapper Sr and Thelma (Martz) Shoemaker.
Eddie enjoyed being around those that made him happy and having a great time. He always enjoyed the life he had and lived it to the fullest he could make it! Eddie was extremely outgoing and incredibly stubborn, but he knew what he wanted and how he wanted it done. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone that he cared about. He was hell on wheels but also a silent chaos. You could count on him.
Loved, strong, stubborn, funny, goofy and independent, he was a pool shark who taught his daughter, Cherish, trick shots. TFO (The Fast One) is what he liked to call himself.
He loved spending time with his sister, Barbara, and brother-in-law, Joseph, who considered him the most stubborn and obnoxious brother ever, but would never replace him in a million years. And as much as she annoyed him, that was his "Barbara Kay"!
He was proud of everything his daughter accomplished with everything he wasn't able to provide. But being a grandpa was his favorite. He was so proud of being a "Crampa", a nickname given to him by his best boys and little buddies. He loved his grandkids, Oliver and Braydan with his whole heart. Oliver was his crazy man and always called him goofy. Oliver would patiently wait for Eddie to come through the door to see his "Crampa". Braydan has always been his main man. Braydan would spend nights with grandpa watching movies, having sleepovers, and hanging out at Aunt Barbara and Uncle Joe's.
Eddie is survived by daughter, Cherish Raulet; grandchildren, Braydan Raulet-Rosati and Oliver Rhodus; sister Barbara (Joseph) Gomes; nieces, Sunshine, Jennifer, and Jessica; nephew, Joey; and great nieces and nephews, Joey, Brandon, and Layne.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Bill, Ben, John, Clair, Cathy, Caroline, Janet, Mark, and Millie; and by his nephew Johnny III.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eddie's family from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Doughtery Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd, Plainfield. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. For memorial guestbook visit www. DoughertyBrosFuneralHome.com
