Eddie Louis Cohen was born on July 16, 1935, in Dallas, Texas. He transitioned to eternity on July 25, 2023.
Eddie graduated from Lincoln High School, Dallas, Texas, in 1952. He went on to enjoy a longtime career at Texas Instruments. After 38 years of exemplary service, Eddie retired in 1992.
On May 1, 1954, Eddie married the love of his life, Virginia Catherine Hamilton. The two loved and nurtured three children, and they remained united in holy matrimony until his transition.
A man of steadfast faith, Eddie was a member of Warren Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He will be fondly remembered for his devoted, loyal, hard-working, generous, and personable nature. His courageous and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Hattie Mae (Robinson) Cohen, and brother, Charles Cohen. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife of 69 years, Virginia Catherine (Hamilton) Cohen; children - Patsy Anderson (Ralph), Peggy Johnson (Charles), and Victor Cohen; grandchildren - Victor Johnson, Torrey Cohen (Marquita), Porschea Brown (Darren), Vincent Cohen (Na'Quion), Roschea Anderson, and Crystal Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Elizabeth Pleasant; sisters-in-love - Ione Cohen, Exie Bell Shaw, and Eleanor B. Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
