HAY- Ernest Hay, Jr. age 65, of Monroe, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, with his wife and children by his side. He was known as Eddie by his family and friends. Eddie was born on June 21, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia. Eddie was a proud member of Atlanta Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 72 for 45 years and retired from RDH Mechanical. He loved working more than anything else. He loved hunting and fishing. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Enoch Hay, Sr. and Frances Bell Hay. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lisa Dobbs Hay of Monroe; his 3 children, Ashley (Keith) Brown of Monroe, Katie (Adam) Meyers of Elko, Christopher (Megan) Hay of Monroe; sisters, Linda (Stacey) Nelson of Loganville, Debi Cole of Garberville, CA and Elaine (Terry) Marlette of Dacula; sister-in-law, Pam (Kevin) Bradford of Monroe, Ann Dobbs of Jackson; He was a proud grandfather to Kalli Warren, Kensley Warren, Karter Brown, Aiden Brown, Parker McCormack, and Weston Hay. Eddie touched a lot of lives and his memory will always be cherished. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
