Eddie Huntsman III, 61, of Bethalto, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born in Alton on April 27, 1964, the son of Eddie and Phyllis (Baker) Huntsman Jr.
Eddie was employed at Aladdin Steel. He is a United States Army Veteran serving during Desert Storm, stationed in both Fort Leonard Wood, Georgia and Germany.
Eddie will be remembered for the love he shared with his son's, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and all his family and friends. In his spare time he enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows Counting Cars, Sanford and Sons, Emergency and game show network.
Survivors include two son, Gary (Deanna) Huntsman of Wood River, and Jason (Sara) Huntsman of Cottage Hills; sisters, Carol (Tom) Bridges, Jr., Barbara (Randy) Weber, Lori Huntsman, and Rebecca (Jeffery) Seymore II; grandchildren, Emma and Corbyn; his loving nieces and nephews; and companion Melodi Rodgers of Bethalto.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Golda and Samantha Huntsman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Cassandra Grey will officiate. Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery, with military rites provided by Alton VFW Post 1308.
Memorials are suggested to The Salvation Army.
