Eddie Lee Jones, born on June 28, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Keithville, Louisiana.
A dedicated machinist by trade, Eddie was known for his strong work ethic and a passion for his craft. He attended Fair Park High School. His commitment to both work and family defined him; he loved his family and friends dearly, often at the center of gatherings that celebrated life, laughter, and shared memories.
Eddie was not only a devoted family man but also a man of strong faith and conviction. His relationship with God guided his actions and instilled in him a loving nature that endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him. An avid hunter and fisherman, Eddie reveled in the beauty of nature and spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors, winning numerous fishing tournaments that showcased his competitive spirit and love for the sport.
Eddie's family legacy continues through his beloved children: Shannon, who is married to Dean Kershner, and Jeff, married to Catherine Jones. His grandchildren Lauren Jones, Felicia Kersher, and Megan with her husband David Schultz. Eddie was also a cherished great-grandfather to Levi Schultz. He is also remembered by his siblings, Larry Jones, Danny Jones, and Judy Johnson, along with former wife, Billie Mann.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents, Marlon Gavin Jones and Lois Irene Jones, and his siblings: Jimmy Jones, Debbie Kiser, Billy Jones, and Alice Crawford.
A Visitation in honor of Eddie Lee Jones will take place on November 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, both at Forest Park Funeral Home located at 1201 Louisiana Ave, Shreveport, LA 71101.
