Eddy Glenn Owens, Jr., "Fast Eddy", passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at his home in Stephenville, TX at the age of 76. A celebration of life for Eddy will be held at a later date.
Eddy was born in Stephenville, TX to his parents Eddy Glenn Owens, Sr. and Billie Ruth (Baker) Owens. He was an Army Vietnam War veteran, he was drafted during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW.
He loved animals and rescuing them for rehabilitation; he would go down to the city park daily to feed the ducks and geese. Eddy had a true passion for the Erath County Humane Society and their values with helping animals. He also loved fishing, camping, hunting for arrowheads, and riding motorcycles as his "wind therapy".
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Owens-Brown and husband Johnny of Mineral Wells, TX; Grandchildren, Thomas Harrison and wife Eneeke of Ft Worth, TX, and Raylee Cate of Eastland, TX; Great grandchildren, McKennon, Stellan, and Elliott Harrison; and brother, Danny Whitley and wife Edith of Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his son, Cody Glenn Owens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Erath County Humane Society, 891 East Rd., Stephenville, TX 76401.
