Edgar Dean Caldwell

E. Dean Caldwell of Galion passed away February 11th at his home farm on Crawford-Morrow County line Road.

Dean was born August 13th 1946 to the late Donald E. Caldwell and H. Marzee (Enck) Caldwell.

Dean graduated from Galion high school in 1964; and then joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Yosemite during Vietnam, where he was a silent hero to many. Dean worked and retired proudly from Gledhill Road Machinery in Galion. Dean was a long, good standing member of the Galion Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the board. He loved collecting model cars and working on the farm.

Dean was preceded in death by both his parents Donald and Marzee Caldwell, his first and only wife Cathy Jo Roush, and his granddaughter Morgan Brynn Caldwell.

Dean is survived by his son James H. Caldwell and 12 grandchildren, Austin, Gorden, Mary Ann, Gabriel, Marcus, Dominck, Shawn, Elizabeth, Logan, Judah, Jonathen, and Jordan. He is also survived by his sister Verna and her two children Jeff and Karrie, and numerous cousins.

A Memorial and Celebration of life service for Dean will be held at the Galion Nazarene Church located at 777 Fairview Ave, Galion, Ohio, 44833 on Saturday, June 6th, starting at 1:00 pm.
