Edgar A. LeBlanc, of Randolph, known affectionately as Eddie to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on July 20, 1944, in New Brunswick, Canada, Eddie was the son of the late Freeman and Eva (Girouard) LeBlanc, and grew to be a man of great warmth and wisdom.
Eddie's early life in New Brunswick set the foundation for his strong character and work ethic. After graduating from high school, he ventured into a long and dedicated career as a truck driver. His years at Grossmans and later Damon Trucking were marked by hard work and reliability until his well-deserved retirement. His colleagues remember him as a dependable and kind-hearted individual, who often went out of his way to help others.
Eddie was a beloved husband to Priscilla "Pat" (Rose) Wise-LeBlanc. Their partnership was one of mutual respect and deep affection. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter. He was a loving father to Ryan LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Shelise LeBlanc of Weymouth, and the late Brent and Kendra LeBlanc. Eddie also embraced the role of step-father to Frank Wise of Braintree and Steve Wise of Pembroke, guiding them with the same love and wisdom he provided his own children. His role as a devoted brother to Claude LeBlanc and Simone Keene (Richard) of Canada further demonstrated his unwavering commitment to family.
Eddie's six grandchildren, along with his many nieces and nephews, were a constant source of joy and pride. He cherished every moment spent with them and instilled in them the values of kindness and compassion that he held so dear. His influence as a grandfather will undoubtedly carry on through their lives.
An avid sports fan, Eddie's enthusiasm for the Boston Bruins was infectious. He enjoyed the camaraderie and excitement of watching games, celebrating victories, and analyzing plays with his friends and family. Beyond sports, his interests included savoring the simple pleasures of life, such as sharing stories and creating memories with loved ones.
Those who knew Eddie understood him to be the embodiment of love, kindness, and wisdom. His gentle spirit and generous nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His comforting presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eddie's life was a testament to the values he held dear: family, friendship, and the joy of shared experiences. His legacy is one of love and kindness, and it will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. As we say goodbye to Edgar A. LeBlanc, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways in which he enriched our lives.
