Edgar Harmon Moreland

Edgar Harmon Moreland, 93, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on May 11, 2024, in Montgomery, Texas. He was born on September 28, 1930, in Harris County, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Moreland and Clara Isabel (Pratt) Moreland. Edgar was a huge fan of John Wayne. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandkids, and buying guns, even if his wife, Charlotte, said he did not need any more.

Edgar was preceded in death by both of his parents; daughter, Terry Bullard; son, Billy Burchfield; brother, Ben Moreland; and sisters, Gracie Webster and Tabatha Kent. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Moreland; children, Edgar Moreland, Jr. (Charlotte), Robert Moreland (Glenda), Casey Moreland, David Moreland, Dean Burchfield (Carla), Herbie Burchfield (Cheryl), Roy Burchfield (Kelly), Teresa Burchfield, Peggy Pierucci (Tommy), and Helen Massey (Jeff); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Edgar will be held 11 A.M., Friday, May 17, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church, Dew, Texas. Bro. Carl Clerk will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Texas. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
