Edith Jean Cilc, 84, of Caseville, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at home under hospice care.
Jean Olson was born March 20, 1937 in Saginaw to the late Clayton and Beatrice (Langley) Olson. She married her soul mate Jerry Cilc on September 3, 1955 in Caseville; he preceded her in death February 18, 2014.
Jean was a devoted mother, a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She would light up any room she entered. She was known for her stylish outfits and her love of golfing, and was even the first woman to score a hole-in-one at Caseville Golf Course. She would speak fondly of bowling matches and snowmobile trips and the endless escapades on the farm she and her family cultivated. When she was up for it, you could see her walking on the Caseville breakwall or taking a swim at the Sandy Shores Athletic Club. To Jean, her family was her whole world. She will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her children Kimberly Galbreath of Portsmouth, Virginia, Jeff (Brenda) Cilc of Caseville and Kelly (Keith) King of Caseville; sister Cathy (Ken) Mehling of Crystal, MI; brother Rick (Judy) Olson of Trenary, MI; grandchildren Jeremy Cilc of Kalamazoo, Shelby Cilc (fiancé Tyler Parish) of Caseville, Taylor King (Brian Hagen) of Pigeon, Jamie King of Caseville and Keith King Jr (fiancé Becca Simpson) of Caseville; and great-grandchildren Delaney Rice and Jax Parish, both of Caseville. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Olson, brother Jim Olson and son-in-law Richard Galbreath.
Interment will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
