Edith V. Stephens, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Edith was born on January 8, 1931, to Willis J. Croan Sr. and Helen Winney.
She married the love of her life Donovan Stephens on December 15, 1951. They were blessed with three children and many happy years of marriage. Edith was a woman who cherished the simple joys of life – a good book, a challenging crossword, and a lively game of Euchre. She had a sharp mind and a sweet spirit. Her warmth and wisdom will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Edith is survived by her children Vicki Stephens, Jerilyn Stephens, and Jeffrey (Peggy) Stephens; granddaughter Katy; and great-granddaughters Nora and Evie.
Edith is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donovan; her parents Willis Croan Sr, and Helen Winney.
Edith will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery in a private burial.
