It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Edith Estelle Lane Weber. Born June 3rd, 1933, in Portland, CT, Edith was the sister to numerous siblings and was raised by her Uncle Frank, a renowned blacksmith in Wallingford.
Edith grew up in Wallingford with her sister Eleanor and her brother Elmer from Portland. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School. Edith worked for forty plus years at Cyanamid and was an active parishioner in the Saint Paul's Episcopal Church community. She was deeply devoted to her community and loved Wallingford unconditionally. She was blessed to have lived a good, long life.
Edith loved a good "Western" movie and will always be remembered for her sweet tooth. Her greatest passion and dedication were her family, and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Gerald George Weber and her daughter Georgina Frances Weber. She leaves behind her son Kurt and daughter-in-law Trish Weber of Bristol; her grandson Brock Weber, his wife Jessica and their son James of Wolcott; her grandson Jake Weber and granddaughter Mackenzie Weber both of Bristol.
There will be no services. Edith will be laid to rest at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford, CT at the convenience of her family. Edith's family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with final arrangements.
