Connie passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living in Bay City, Michigan at the age of 92. She was born to the late Herman and Anna (Todorich) Badenhoop on September 28, 1931 in Barton City, Michigan. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Linwood, Michigan. Connie liked having parties, cooking and feeding everyone and watching the wildlife in her yard. She enjoyed spending time singing and playing her guitar. Her flower garden was her pride and joy, she always made sure it was spotless, not a single weed in sight. She loved her family and was a selfless and dedicated caretaker who devoted 20 years of her life to taking care of her youngest daughter, Jill, during her illness. She and her husband, Richard, were Founders of Dolney RV Center. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Connie is survived by her children, Shelly (Lyle) Hadd, Lon Dolney, Kelly Howard and Todd (Fiancé, Annette) Dolney; grandchildren, Trevor Hadd, Tyler (Fiancé, Ashley) Hadd, Travis (Jolene) Hadd, Dustin (Bobbi-Jo) Howard, Chad (Jena) Howard, Brandon (Ashley) Dolney, Nicole (Dustin) Tomczak and Brianne (Paul) Dolney-Jacobs; great grandchildren, Mia, Noah, Damon, Eli, Brody, Brielle, Reid, Ryder, Harrison, Beckham, Jameson, Saylor, Winifred and Matilda; fur baby, Bella; sisters, Pearl Bellhorn and Betty Argyle and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her husband, Richard Dolney; daughter, Jill Dolney; son-in-law, Ron Howard; three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral service for Connie will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home with a private inurnment taking place at a later date at St. Anne’s Cemetery. Officiating will be E.J. Brown. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Connie’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
