Edna Margaret Hudson, age 95, of Northport, Alabama, passed away June 2, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Rick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sterling Community, Berry, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Alvin Campbell and Irene Gurganus Campbell; her husband of 48 years, Joseph Buford Hudson; two sons, David Hudson and Gerald Wilburn; one daughter, Carroll Whigham (Johnny); two grandsons, Jason Booth and Cody Johnson; and 17 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Smith; son, Bobby Hudson (Tina); daughters-in-law, Sherry Wilburn and Jan Hudson; sister, Doris Davis; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
She loved her family, community, and gardening. Her faith in God was never-ending. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Sterling Cemetery Fund of St. Jude’s Hospital.
