Edna Mae VanArsdall passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, in Rockwall, Texas, at the age of 88. Edna was born on January 4, 1937, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, to the late Dewey B. and Erma (Perry) Austin.

On June 18, 1955, she married Paul Eugene VanArsdall, who predeceased her. Together, they had two daughters, Debbie Tuttle and spouse Rickie, and Cyndi Cantrell and spouse Rick. Rick Cantrell also preceded her in passing.

Edna was blessed with nine grandchildren, Timothy Tuttle and his wife Erin, Tracy Tuttle and his wife Kathryn, Troy Tuttle and his wife Camille, Lindsey Webb and her husband Sam, Lauren Perry and her husband Adam, Austin Cantrell and his wife Gabby, Zach Cantrell, Selah Cantrell, and Joy Cantrell. She was also a great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Edna was faithful to her church, where she found strength and solace, and she lived out her beliefs. She loved southern gospel music and found great joy in listening to the melodies that uplifted her soul.

A family graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery when Edna will be interred with her beloved husband Paul.

A memorial service to honor Edna will follow the graveside on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 1:00pm at Lakepointe Church.
