James Eugene Elmore

James Eugene Elmore lived a life defined by love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Angela Elmore, who was the steady heart of his world; his daughter Ashley Gutosky and her husband Jared, and their children Aiden and Austin; his son Brian Elmore; his bonus children Megan Cruz and her husband Josue, and their children Liam and Noah; Connor Prandy; Chris Prandy and his wife Alexandra, and their daughter Fable.

He is also survived by his sisters Seanne Radanof with her husband Jeff and Lucretia Malone, along with their families; his mother-in-law Reba Rubio; his brother-in-law Samuel Rubio and his family; and a cherished circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his treasured Ohana, the chosen family of friends who stood with him through every season of life.

James was welcomed into eternity by those who went before him: his father Walter, his mother Janet, his brothers Walter "Rusty" Jr. and Lee Elmore, and his grandson Joseph Gutosky.

James leaves us with an emptiness we can't yet imagine filling, but also with a blueprint for living: love deeply, work hard, keep your word, and never pass up a chance to cast a line into the water.

An Afternoon of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas. This will be a come-and-go gathering where family and friends can share memories, stories, and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in James' honor, so that others may continue the fight he so bravely faced.
