Eduardo Zapata, 17, of Stanton, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025. A visitation will begin at 10 AM on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at The Branch at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary beginning at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be at San Miguel Archangel Catholic Church on Friday, June 6th, 2025 at 10 AM. Interment will follow the mass at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Eduardo was born on August 29, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jesus Zapata and Dinora Zapata. Eduardo spent a short time of his childhood in Nevada, before his family relocated to Texas, where they have lived for the past 12 years.
Eduardo was a dedicated team roper, who had recently graduated from Greenwood High School in the class of 2025. Eduardo is survived by mother, Dinora Zapata; father, Jesus Zapata; brother, Alejandro Zapata; brother, Fernando Zapata; brother, Adrian Zapata; nephew, Antonio Zapata; sister-in-law, Arilee Vargas; grandfather, Alfonso Rios; grandmother, Maria Isabel Jauregui.
Eduardo is preceded in death by grandmother, Maria Delia Rios; grandfather, Trinidad Zapata.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the many family & friends who have reached out and have expressed a tremendous amount of concern, thoughts, and prayers. With this, the Zapata family would also like to acknowledge all of those who have dedicated their time & efforts in fundraising for the family.
