Beloved husband for 68 years of Mary Kay (Richard) Bernhard; father of Richard Bernhard (Karen), Donna Tessmer (Richard), Sandy Harvey (John), Barbara Fritsch (Gary), and Mary Hughes (Bryan); grandfather of Kyle Tessmer, Seth Tessmer, Rebecca Fritsch-Stevenson, Sarah Tresky, Jacob Fritsch, Joseph Fritsch, Grace Fritsch, and Benjamin Bernhard; great-grandfather of Henry, Magdalene, George, & Theodore Tresky, James Stevenson, and Riley Bernhard, brother of the late Donald Barkman.
Family will welcome friends on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc. (West View) 388 Center Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15229. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at St. Athanasius Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project: 600 River Ave Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
