Edward "Eddie" Brennan, 73, of Ridley Park, passed away suddenly on July 21, 2025.

Born and raised in Southwest Philly, Eddie was the beloved son of the late Leo and Betty Brennan. Eddie was a proud graduate of West Catholic Boys High School, Class of 1970.

For many years, he worked the night shift as a manager at Pathmark, where he was known for his strong work ethic and quick wit.

Ed was a die-hard Philly sports fan, and could always be found standing during games, passionately cheering on his teams. He had a playful spirit and loved the thrill of a good scratch-off ticket or lottery draw.

Eddie was the devoted husband of 37 years to his wife, Cathi, and a loving father to his three daughters: Ryan Hinderer (Brett), Ashley Gardner (Brian), and Erin Brennan (Madison). He was best known as "Poppy" to his cherished grandchildren: Shane, Brayla, McKayla, BriGuy, Harper, Grayson, and Finny - each of whom brought endless joy to his life. He also shared a special bond with his grand-pups, Boo and Dizzy.

Eddie is survived by his dear siblings Maryann DiIenno and Marty Brennan as well as many nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Paul and Jimmy Brennan.

Eddie will be remembered for his humor, unwavering loyalty and the laughter he brought into every room. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and family devotion that will live on in all who knew him.

In remembrance of the Scratch off King, we ask you to bring a scratch off in his loving memory.

Family and friends are invited to attend Eddie's Memorial Visitation on Sunday July 27th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. His Memorial Service will follow at 2 PM. Interment Private.
