With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the gift of her life, we announce the sudden passing of Catherine Powers Gribble, - a truly remarkable woman whose radiant and amazingly beautiful smile made every room brighter. Her quick wit, effortless humor, and joyful personality touched everyone lucky enough to know her. She was a graduate of Interboro High School and Hahnemann University. A proud and hardworking nurse, Catherine spent many years caring for others with the same kindness, compassion, and strength that she gave to her own family. She had the gift of making even the darkest times feel lighter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Powers, her brother Tommy, and her cherished nephew Jake. Their memories brought her comfort, and now she is reunited with them in peace.
Catherine is survived by her devoted children: Carrie (Steve), Shaun (Lindsay), and Heather (AJ) - each of whom she loved with her whole heart and soul, never offering judgment, but a steady and unconditional love.
Her greatest joy in life was being Mimi to her grandchildren - Patrick, Ryan, Aidan, Quinn, Stephen, and Colton - They will carry her humor, patience, and warmth with them always. She shined with pride every time she spoke of them, pouring endless love, devotion, and laughter into each of their lives.
She also leaves behind her siblings: Mike (Cathy) Powers, Kevin (Chris) Powers, Beth Street, Joanne Goode, Brian (Jayne) Powers, Patti (Jon) Gould, and Keith (Deb) Powers, who will forever feel her absence, along with her 12 nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of which adored her.
Though her time with us was too short, her impact will be felt for a lifetime. Her spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every shared laugh, and every moment of love that we hold dear. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished, and may her memory remind us always to be our most authentic self. To know her was to love her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation after 9:30 AM, Friday November 21, 2025 at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, where a service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to Operation Smile.

Cathy was a fantastic nurse and friend to my mother-in-law Mary Dimarzio. She was beautiful. We laughed alot. What a beautiful person. She´s just a bit older than me so I´m very shocked. I will miss her......
