Edward Harrison Bush III

Edward Harrison Bush III, known to his family and friends as Trae, passed away on July 17, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Memorial services are set for 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1st at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. Trae was born in Bryan, Texas to Jan Boyett and Edward Harrison Bush, Jr. He spent his childhood in College Station, most of his adult life in Houston, and returned to Bryan in 2020. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 and earned his MBA from University of Houston in 2006. He built a long and successful career in veterinary medical sales, holding positions at Royal Canin, Bayer, and Merck. Throughout his life, Trae held a place in his heart for his family and friends. His sharp wit, strong spirit, and unmistakable presence drew people to him. Above all, he loved his three children deeply and was immensely proud of the individuals they've become. They were truly the lights of his life. We will remember his warmth, his care, and the love he carried for those closest to him. Trae was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Boyett; his father, Joe Bush; his sister, Joanna Kyles; and aunt Glenda Floyd. Survivors include his children, Harrison Bush of Vail, Colorado; Caroline Bush and Luke Bush, both of Houston. He also leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Bree Boyett and Ty Storey; stepfather, Pat Boyett; aunts and uncles Linda Keller and W.T. Keller; Kenneth and Kathy Reeves; and cousins Whitney Floyd and Chris and Adam Reeves, Josh and John Webb and Laura Martin. His faithful friends were blessings through the end and the family wants to extend gratitude for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church for local community support or Aggieland Humane Society in honor of his beloved dog, Ivy.
