Eddie was born in Portland, Texas on July 26, 1954 to Asela (Michel) and Andres Carballeira. He was a lover of life, family and friends. Eddie was especially passionate about taking care of four-legged fur babies. He had a love for wind and waves and spent a lot of time either surfing, windsurfing, sailing or teaching others the sport, since he was such a waterman. Eddie wanted everyone to be able to get up and feel the power as the wind fills the sail and the board begins to take off.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 42 years: Linda Frances Carballeira from Ingleside, Texas; 2 daughters: Ashrya Elaine Fields and Misty Marie Gonzalez; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Eddie's life on June 30, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at his nephew, Andy Carballeira's home at 6634 Pharaoh Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.
