Edward Davis Obituary
Edward J. Davis, III, 58, a lifelong Putnam County resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Mr. Davis was an arborist with Putnam County for 33 years retiring in 2023.
Born on November 10, 1967 in Carmel, NY, he was the son of the late Edward J. Davis, Jr. and Dixie (Haight) Davis. He was a graduate of Mahopac High School Class of 1986 and a friend of the Mahopac VFW.
Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter, Brook Elizabeth Davis and his son, Trevor Earl Davis, both of Stormville, NY. His brothers, Michael Lawlor of Stormville, NY and Peter Erickson of Mahopac, NY.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half-brother, David Miller and half-sister, Dixie Raguso.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 US Route 6, Mahopac, NY. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor William Mayhew officiating.
