DIETRICH, Edward Robert - age 78 of Fenton, died June 24, 2024. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 28, 2024, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13667 Highland Rd, Hartland, MI 48353 with Reverend Christopher I. Thoma. Interment will follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 1-3 and 5-8 PM Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13667 Highland Rd, Hartland, MI 48353. Edward was born May 18, 1946, in Detroit, the son of Lawrence and Thelma (St. Clair) Dietrich. He married Margaret Wyckoff on July 5, 1966. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan - Flint. Edward retired from Ford Motor Company in Material Handling Engineering after 30 years of service. He served as President of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in 2022 and on the Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church School Board for 6 years. Edward enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and old cars. Surviving are: wife, Margaret; three children, Stephen Dietrich, Cheryl (Dave) Hajciar, and Karl (Erin) Dietrich; grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin, and David Hajciar, Isabella Kassa and Juliette Dietrich; brothers, Lawrence Dietrich, John (Sharon) Dietrich, Dennis (Cindy) Dietrich, Chuck (Rowena) Dietrich, Karl (Rhonda) Dietrich; sister, Dottie Rogers; sisters-in-law, Betty Dietrich and Leslie Dietrich. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lawrence and Thelma Dietrich; brothers, Vernon Dietrich, Ted Dietrich, and Rich Dietrich; sister, LaVerne Racht.
