Edward Richard Dreisbach, Sr., 88, of Bethlehem died Saturday, October 4, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sandra Jean (Cope) Dreisbach with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Mary T. (Repasch) Dreisbach. A graduate of Fountain Hill High School, he was a member of the legendary "Hillers" who won the first of three consecutive boys' basketball District 11 titles and reaching the PIAA Class B state final for the 1955-1956 season. Edward was a member of the Blue Mountain League Hall of Fame and the St. Louis Cardinals Organization. He was a PIAA / NCAA official and a member of the Salisbury Youth Association. He was a talented golfer who could often be found on the local links. Edward was an inspector of steam fittings and a driver for Sarco for many years before retiring.
Survivors: Wife; children, Mary Gibiser and her husband David of Bethlehem, Edward R. Dreisbach, Jr. and his wife Ericka of Macungie, Lynda Stout of Bethlehem, Debra Cavaiuolo and her husband Domenico of Whitehall; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Earl Dreisbach and Frances Mary Blaukovitch and a grandson. "The family would like to thank Ed's St. Luke's doctors, surgeons, nurses, care team, Palliative and VNA/Hospice teams who were with him on his journey."
Service: A private interment will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements are being handled by the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. Please record a memory at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
