Mr. Edward Edenfield, age 90, passed away at home on September 20,2025 while under care of Compassus Hospice. He was born December 15, 1934, to the late Melton and Vita Mae Edenfield. He was also predeceased by his son Bruce Edward Edenfield and nine siblings. He is survived by his faithful wife, Betty Mae Love Edenfield of 67 years and one sister Dorthy Edenfield Newman, honorary grandchildren Walker Bazemore, Joannah Bell Votery, Jessica Bell, Calin (Buckshot) DeLoach and William Bryson Bazemore, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was a farmer, gardener and retiree of Savannah Electric and Power. He enjoyed growing his own vegetables and selling them around his local community to the point that he became known as the vegetable man. His weekend enjoyment was spent watching football (Collegiate and NFL) and NASCAR Racing.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edenfield Family Cemetery located behind 544 Sand Hill Road, Swainsboro, GA 30401.
