Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend - Fort StocktonEdward Franco, 55, beloved son and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on October 4, 2025. He was born on June 26, 1970, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to the late Natividad and Flora Franco.
Edward is survived by his loving family: Sister Elsa Franco, sister Elisa Flores (Alfred), brother Mario Franco (Angela), brother Alfredo Franco (Ruth), brother Robert Franco (Lorena), and sister Virginia Banda (Joaquin), his sister Anna Franco (Tim Gregory) and his brother Richard Franco. Though he never had children, he held a deep and fatherly love for his numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward will be remembered for his lively spirit, infectious humor, and deep love for music and family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-barbecuing in the backyard, blasting Tejano music from his loudspeaker, and watching WWE wrestling with passion and excitement. He loved attending live music concerts and was known to enjoy shots of Fireball while surrounded by friends and family.
In his professional life, Edward worked with pride and perseverance. He devoted over 35 years to his career, most of which he spent working at Sonic Drive-In in San Antontio TX then in Ft Stockton TX. He rose through the ranks at Sonic, becoming Assistant Manager and later General Manager-a role he carried out with dedication and strong leadership.
A rosary and memorial service to celebrate Edward's life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend Chapel, 301 N. Main St., Fort Stockton, TX 79735.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love, laughter, and warmth he brought to all who knew him.
