Edward "Eddie" Gant, age 68, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025. Eddie was born to the late Hattie Marie Smith Gant Bell and Rufus Gant on February 14,1957. He was an auctioneer for forty years at A to Z Auction. He was a salesman at heart with many saying he could sell ice to an Eskimo. Eddie had a way of making people laugh and smile but most importantly he loved the Lord and loved his daughter more than anything. During his downtime he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and spending time with his family. Eddie is preceded in death by his above-mentioned parents; stepfather, Malcam "Mike" Bell; sisters, Betty Jean Powers, Mary Helen Gant, Charlies Gant and Jimmy Gant. He is survived by his wife, Donna Gant; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and T.J. Anderson; granddaughter, Lainey Anderson; sisters, Shirley Blevins of Conyers, GA, Joyce Drew of Oxford, MS, and Anita Clements, Sardis, MS; brother, Marvin Gant of Water Valley, MS; a number of nieces and nephews; and by many loving friends, family and so many auction loved ones.
