Edward K. Hall, 78, of Newville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on December 23rd, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 15, 1946, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Hall of Newville.
A proud graduate of Cumberland Valley High School's Class of 1966, Edward dedicated over 50 years to his career with the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 19 of Philadelphia before retiring. His strong work ethic was cultivated early in life while helping his parents at the Farmers Market Restaurant and the Bellaire House Restaurant. Alongside his wife Rhonda, Edward also operated Hall's Drive-In and worked at concession stands at Laurel Lake and Fuller Lake, as well as taking on catering projects together.
Edward married Rhonda on June 4, 1969, and together they shared a life filled with love and meaningful endeavors. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rhonda (Armolt) of Newville; his children, Pastor Kelly Hall (Kristy), and Jason Hall (Stephanie), both of Newville; Christina Davis (Eric) of Harrisburg; and a cherished bonus son (a lifelong friend to son Jason), Raymond Barrick (Petra), of South Carolina, and one brother, James E. Hall (Faye) of New Kingstown. Edward was a proud grandfather to five grandsons- Ryan and Koty Hall, Kyle Calloway, and Derek and Devin Doporcyk- and three granddaughters- Cherie Darhower, Nicole Calloway, and Nicole Doporcyk- as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
Edward had a lifelong passion for racing. He enjoyed attending events at Silver Springs Race Track and Williams Grove Speedway and later supported his sons as they raced micro sprint cars. He also loved classic television shows like *Gunsmoke* and *Wagon Train*.
Special thanks are extended to Nicole Doporcyk for the exceptional care and love she provided to Edward in recent years. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
