He was born in Louisville on April 17, 1942, a son of the late Joseph and Everyetta Walker Heil. Buddy was a retired Maintenance Machinist with Philip Morris after 30 years of service. He was a former member of the Beulah Twirlers Square Dance Club and the Dancin' Nuts Line Dance Club. He was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church.
Besides his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Robert Heil and a grandson, Gregory Higdon.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Clark Heil; four children, Joe Heil (Michele), John Heil, Kim Higdon (Steve, Sr.), and Terry Stratman (Tommy, deceased); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Martha Parish, 2825 Klondike Lane, Monday, March 27th at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or to Mass of the Air. Online condolences may be shared at www.ratterman.com.
