Edward Hyde Obituary

A native of Oconee County, Rev. Hyde was the son of the late James Thomas Hyde and Mildred Garrett Hyde. He was a Southern Baptist Minister for forty-five years. Rev. Hyde was a graduate of Fruitland Bible College and Anderson University. Rev. Hyde was also retired from the City of Clemson as a pump technician after thirty-two years. Mr. Hyde was a member of Westminster First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Rev. Hyde is survived by his daughters: Amy Thrift (Terry) of Clemson; Bridgette Hyde of Greenville; and grandchildren: Jackson Thrift, Jensen Thrift and Josette Hyde.
In addition to his parents, Rev. Hyde was preceded in death by his sons: Randy Lee and Eddie Joe Hyde and a sister: Yvonne McClure.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
