Edward G. “Eddie” Jaroszewski, age 63, of Springfield, PA, passed away on September 15, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Anne Jaroszewski (nee Babst).
“Eddie J” as he was affectionately called, was a member of the Don Guanella family and a long-time resident of The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence since September 4, 1968 first living at the Don Guanella School, transferring to the Cardinal Krol Center on June 14, 1980 and, since 2015, living at the Rolling Road House.
Eddie was an avid music fan, he loved listening to his records, especially “Oldies” records, and was always dancing to the music. He loved Elvis Presley and would occasionally belt out a rendition of “We are Family”. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping out in the kitchen. Eddie loved the holidays, especially Halloween because he got to wear his favorite costume of “Pope Eddie.” Christmas was also one of his favorite holidays. He liked watching the Eagles and Phillies, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Scooby Doo, who was his favorite cartoon character.
Eddie was the loving brother of Marilyn (nee Jaroszewski) Malinowski (Henry) and the caring uncle of Meghan Malinowski (Dominick Cevet) and Gregory Malinowski (Anne Foley). Also survived by his Godmother Joan Babst and numerous cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023, at The Divine Providence Village Chapel, 686 Old Marple Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Don Guanella and Divine Providence Communities, 20 E. Cleveland Ave, Norwood, PA 19074, would be appreciated.
