Maximilian Francis Jaroszewski III, 75, passed away on November 21, 2023 in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Max was born on July 16, 1948 and lived for many years in Shelton, Connecticut. Max was a devoted husband to his wife Laura Jaroszewski and a proud father to his son Gregory Jaroszewski and son-in-law Daniel Costen. He is also survived by his sister Diana (Gary) Clifford, brother Steven (Cynthia) Jaroszewski, and other family including Patricia Hough, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He's also survived by his service dog Star and his loyal companion Ollie.
Max was an avid boater; he and Laura loved living by Lake Housatonic, the Long Island Sound, and the Gulf of Mexico. Many people fondly recount how Max taught them to water-ski. He was very proud of his service to the community as Chairman of the Lake Housatonic Authority, Chairman of the Concerned Citizens for the Preservation of the Housatonic River Basin, and Member of the Charlotte County Republican Executive Committee. He spent years volunteering for the Department of Environmental Protection of CT teaching boating safety.
Max was preceded in death by his mother Ann Shuster Leon, father Maximilian F. Jaroszewski Jr. and sister Monika Armstrong.
His presence will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
