Henry Joseph Jaroszewski, 81, passed away January 2, 2025. He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 22, 1943, the son of the late Henry W. and Irene Jaroszewski.
He was Valedictorian, class of 1961, at North High School and received degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from The University of Akron in 1967. He was active in many campus organizations, including Phi Sigma Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, and WAUP-FM and was named "Outstanding Fraternity Man" his senior year. He was a Systems Engineer for IBM for 30 years, then formed his own companies, Probe International and Probe Enterprises. Henry continued to use his computer and technicall skills by volunteering at his church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron and NAMI of Summit County and was always willing to help friends with "computer problems." He was also a member of the Summit County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and on his high school 50 year class reunion. Henry lived in Copley since 1973, where he served on the Zoning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals for 20 years. He enjoyed traveling, reading, photography, bicycling, gardening, and home improvement projects
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laura (Gulbis) Jaroszewski, son Mark Jaroszewski, daughter Rebecca Krocker, granddaughter, Emily Krocker, grandson Aiden Krocker, sister Peggy Falor, niece Jennifer (Dr. Matthew)Sammons, nephew Robert Falor, great nephew Forrest Sammons, cousin Teresa Jaroszewski, brother-in-law and sister-in-law George and Kathy Gulbis, as well as many other family and friends.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Richfield, Ohio. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310 or COPLEY Fire and Rescue, 1540 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Copley, Ohio 44321.
