Edward Wayne Norris

Edward Wayne Norris, age 77, of Fort Mill, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home.The family is hosting a celebration of life at the home of Kym and Lain Reavis on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. Following, the family will have a memorial service that will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Wolfe Funeral Home.Born in Lumberton, N.C., Wayne was the son of the late Edmond Leon Norris and Lucille Prevatte Norris. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and retired from IC System where he worked as a sales manager for 23 years. He was an Army Veteran and served throughout the Vietnam conflict. He was a huge Carolina Panthers fan and enjoyed watching football, going fishing on the lake and spending time with his family. He loved the Lord and spent many years teaching the youth. Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan Ulmer Norris; his children, Kym Reavis (Lain) of Fort Mill SC, Haley Norris of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Sindi Reynolds (Ed) of Charlotte NC, Terry Pope of Charlotte NC, Abbey Monti (John) of Kershaw SC; grandchildren, Haley Reavis, Turner Reavis; and many nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to: York County Veterans Affairs 1070 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
