Edward Eugene Pittman passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his home in Kent. Born in Woodsfield, Ohio, on February 25, 1946, to Wade and Dorothy Pittman, he was a graduate of Ravenna High School. Ed worked for Kroger for years, but he is best known for his love of family, golf, travel and the outdoors. Ed was a hunter and avid fisherman, casting his line in waters from Canada to the deep seas off Florida. He and Ginger, his wife of 39 years, traveled the country, visiting their children and grandchildren -- and also vacationing with friends, family and exploring new cities and favorite locations, including Las Vegas, Niagara Falls, Denver, Cocoa Beach, Florida, and the Bahamas. Ed spoiled his grandchildren and adored his favorite canine buddy, Tommy. He is missed and survived by his wife Virginia "Ginger" Pittman. Son David (Bridget) Pittman of Houston. Stepchildren Kristen (Ken) Alltucker of Vienna, Virginia; Kimberly (Nathan Yates) DelGuzzi of Boston; Karin (Nick) Pires of Yarmouth, Maine; and Brent (Gaby) DelGuzzi of Davenport, Florida. Grandchildren Chad, Cassidy, Connor and Ella Pittman; Nathan, Jillian and Joanna Pires; Kennedy and Grace Alltucker; and Sophia, Alyssa and Isabella DelGuzzi. And great-grandson Crew Pittman.
