born December 25, 1952
Edward H Sabre was a resident of Norwood since 2014.
Predeceased by parents Francis and Mary(Kalamon) Sabre
Survived by brothers Frank(Marie), Robert, Thomas Sabre
Survived by wife Alice(Luther) Sabre
Children: Zachary, Faith, Marcus, Hollie, Matthew, Emily, Anna and Julia,
Also stepdaughter Jennifer Varner, stepson Harrison E. Varner, Jr, sister-in-law Violet Luther and mother-in-law Eleanor Luther.
Also survived by nephews Mark, Jared (Yu),and 2 great nephews Ryan and Andy and nieces Lisa
(Patrick)Cahill, Karen(Michael)McGlinchey,Jillian and many other family members.
Ed went to Swedeland Elementary School and graduated from Upper Merion High School. His Mother
worked at Minters chocolate factory Dad worked at Alan Wood Steel Mill for a long time.
Ed loved to go hunting with his father and brothers locally and in the Poconos. They like to go fishing at
Sammy's lake and Schuylkill river. Ed liked to play baseball with the summer league.
Ed served in the US Army in Vietnam as an engineer.
Alice and Ed got married
May 2,1992. They moved to Arizona in 1994. Ed worked for a company that built bridges. Then worked
digging footers for mobile homes, and for a company digging pools where he was the main bobcat
operator.
In 2003 he decided to stay home and raise their 8 children and help with lots of foster care. He likes
spending time with his family going camping, going to church and sports games for the children.
In 2015 all the family moved back to Pennsylvania, he still decided to be stay home Dad to take care of
their 8 children while Alice went to Work. Alice retired in April 2020. Edward got sick June 20.2022 and
his wife was always right by his side with his children until his passing. Edward survived a plethora of
medical issues. Lots of hospital stays in hospitals throughout Delaware and Chester counties several
nursing homes. With a family that was fighting for him all the way especially his wife Alice. They provided
whatever care he needed up until his passing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday June 28th from 9:00-11:00 followed by
service 11-12th then to Fernwood cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
