Thomas was also active with the Adoptive Mother's Club, the Briarcliffe Father & Son Athletic Association, the Knights of Columbus Marian Council, and Our Lady of Fatima CYO.
Thomas enjoyed amateur photography where he learned to develop his own pictures at home. He had a great interest in Genealogy where he often traveled to the National Archive building in Philadelphia researching family, friends and neighbors genealogy. He also enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles and college basketball, especially St. Joe's and Villanova.
