Edward Lee Shawn

Edward Lee Shawn, age 58, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 15, 2023. He was born February 27, 1965 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Reuben and Omie Jean Shawn. He shared the same birthday with his father. He attended Maud High School in Maud, Oklahoma, and obtained a GED. He learned the flooring trade and made installing flooring his life's work. He specialized in custom tile showers. He was married to Melissa on July 10, 2004. They shared 19 years of marriage. He was an avid fisherman. He could often be heard saying "The fish don't care if it's wet." When rainy weather hit his fishing days, and " I got fishitis." He loved being outdoors. He especially loved doing anything with his grandchildren. He was proud of each and everyone one of them. He was honored to be able to say he met each grandchild within 24hrs of them being born.
He was preceded by death by his mother, Omie Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Shawn; Father, Reuben Shawn; Sister, Andrea and Steve Baumiester; Son, Scottie and Crystal Shawn; Son Gary Rogers and Paige Phillips; Daughter Krista and Chris LaFerr; Uncle, Leonard and Bev Gillham; Niece Samantha Hustrulid; Grandchildren; Timmy, Violet, Zayden, Xade, Cash, Vanessa, Jax, Linkin, Lizzie, Brooklyn, Bradyn, Tyler, Logan, Ryker, Azra, Aidan, Augie, Addy, Ranger, Fletcher, Tracker, and soon-to-be newborn grandchildren Scout, and Addilyn.
