Edward J. Strzelczyk, 63 of the Town of Greenbush went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2023. He went peacefully and his daughter, Sarah and Daniel, were at his side.
Ed was born on October 21, 1959, in Sheboygan, a son to the late Robert E. and Dorothy (Bleyer) Strzelczyk. He attended high school in Mequon, Wisconsin, and then attended Milwaukee Area Technical College receiving a degree in Horticulture. He went on to start his own landscaping business in Ozaukee County. On May 26, 1989 he was united in marriage to Carol Reithmeyer at the Old Wade House in Greenbush. Ed enjoyed going to Ukraine and Haiti for Mission Trips. In recent years, Ed would travel to Ohio to be a driver for the Amish. He spoke fondly of his experiences with the Amish.
Ed greatly enjoyed the outdoors and spending time being one with the land, fishing, hunting, woodcarving and fly tying. In his younger years, Ed was an avid Harley motorcycle rider. He was also a member of the Izaak Walton League.
Ed is survived by two daughters, Sarah Strzelczyk (Daniel Barron) and Shannon (Herman) Batteast, both of Milwaukee; his loving grandchildren and the mother of his daughters, Carol Strzelczyk of Milwaukee; his brother, Robert R. (MaryJo) Strzelczyk of Cedarburg and his sisters, Mary (Robert) Braun of Ft. Atkinson and Elizabeth (Bill) Kuhn of Hartford. Nieces, nephews and other family and friends further survive. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Judy Felcyn and brother-in-law, Bill Kuhn.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, January 18 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbush Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 123 South Street, Plymouth on Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm.
