Edward Victor Sztorc passed away on January 2, 2026. Born on June 22, 1955, Edward was lovingly adopted by Victor F. Sztorc and Mary E. Sztorc, who raised him with strong values rooted in hard work, perseverance, and a strong family bond.
As the eldest of five children – Theresa Sztorc, Elizabeth Rich, Elaine Sztorc, and Paul Sztorc – Edward naturally took on the role of protector and leader. From a young age, he was energetic and competitive, excelling in athletics and developing a particular passion for wrestling. His dedication and talent led to multiple wrestling championships at West High School, earning him the honor of competing in the Junior Olympics.
Edward carried that same drive into his career as a union bricklayer. For more than 40 years, he worked side by side with his father, building not only a respected trade but a lasting legacy. Together, they helped construct hundreds of buildings throughout Kern County, structures that stand today as a testament to Edward's craftsmanship, pride in his work, and commitment to excellence.
Edward was married to Vicky Sztorc for over 20 years. He leaves behind his loving childrenLauren Uribe, Victor E. Sztorc, and Nicole Sztorc.
Edward will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, and unwavering work ethic, as well as for the love he had for his family.

Sad to see this obituary with Ed's passing. I knew Ed for years, but had not seen him in quite some time. He was a tough guy, and a loyal friend to many. Ed had many interesting stories, and he was a valiant man who would defend his friends and family to the end. He was much like the movie hero "Billy Jack", and you could always count on him to have your back in times of need, especially against those evil doers who were out to cause you harm. I send condolences and prayers to Ed and the Sztorc Families, and I wish I had one more opportunity to tell him thank you and a job well done!
